2001 onwards

Despite all of Fazal's accomplishments there has always been an unrecognised gap within him, like emptiness in his heart. However, since the year 2001, when he completed his first holy pilgrimage to Mecca, this gap was filled with faith and love for Allah (SWT). From then he acquired a whole new attitude towards everything he did, and the 'Search for A Real Life' began.

From 2001-2004, Fazal completed Hajj four times and Umrah three times. He is determined to find the right direction for, not only himself, but for all his family and friends. He would like this turning point in his life to be an example for us all to follow. He wants to share his new knowledge and feelings with everyone around him, and ensure everyone has a chance to find the right path.

Music Transformation

In 2003, he transformed his musical career into pure Islamic singing. At the invitation to a show held by Message Cultural Group, Fazal made his debut Islamic performance, in front of 1100 people. His songs brought tears to peoples' eyes. He wants to continue this, but in a larger scale, and give the benefit of his 30 years of experience in music and drama to the cause of Allah, The Lord of Al-Amin, and his Messenger Muhammad (PBUH).

A prayer room and dawa

Fazal has set up a dedicated prayer room in his house, which is used regularly for prayer and recitation of the Qu'ran. He is very keen to highlight the importance of understanding the Qu'ran to all Muslims, of all ages, as he strongly believes that simply reading it is not conveying the messages it is intended to, as it is the complete guidance to life.

Fazal organised Islamic education sessions firstly for families and then others.

Pitfalls

In July 2002, at a point when Fazal was fully content with his business and life, a remarkable downfall struck him. He was misled by someone he trusted and made a big investment into a hotel in West London, which turned into a financially loss project. This resulted in severe mental stress and financial difficulties, causing distress in all aspects of Fazal's life. This was following another shake-up, which occurred in 2001, where Fazal invested into an oil import, making a substantial loss.

Like everyone else, Fazal learnt from his mistakes although it had already got out of hand and was too late. His judgement of people was also refined, and he realised who his true friends are, who helped when it was most needed. He repeatedly mentions the name of a friend who has been with Fazal through thick and thin, he is Nazrul Islam Bashon.

Despite all his problems, not once did Fazal turn his back to Allah (SWT), in fact his faith strengthened and his determination to search for a real life was enhanced.

Also, Aysha, his wife, has been with him at every step of the way, supporting him in everything he did. May Allah help fulfil their aim and give them good health and ability to help others, Ameen.
